Xiaomi has officially launched its latest flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, packed with top-tier features like a Leica quad-camera setup and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The phone boasts a high-quality display, a large battery, and advanced AI capabilities. Let’s take a closer look at the phone’s features and its expected price in Nepal.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Camera Features
Xiaomi’s Ultra series is known for its focus on photography, even surpassing Samsung and Apple in some areas. The quad-camera setup follows Xiaomi’s signature large circular camera design, inspired by Leica cameras. The phone is available in two-tone silver and black, as well as plain black and white models.
The biggest upgrade is the 200MP periscope camera with 4.3x zoom, which improves low-light photography with a larger sensor, faster aperture, and higher resolution. Xiaomi calls it the “Night God” for its exceptional night photography.
The other three rear cameras are 50MP each, with slight improvements from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. One major change is that the main camera now has a fixed f/1.63 aperture, replacing the variable aperture from the previous model.
Design & Display

Xiaomi has introduced the third-generation Photography Kit, an optional add-on that includes a protective case and a camera grip. This version comes in red, features a 2,000mAh battery that can also act as a power bank, and includes controls like a shutter button, zoom lever, and exposure dial.
The phone itself has a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3200 nits. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, making it ideal for high-quality visuals. The Guardian Structure design ensures durability, with Gorilla Glass protection and IP68 water and dust resistance.
Performance & Software
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor powers the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Compared to previous models, this processor offers better performance, but for regular users who don’t play heavy games, it might be more than necessary.
The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, and features a 3D dual-channel cooling system to prevent overheating.
Xiaomi has also added AI-powered features with HyperAI, including:
- Creative Assistant: AI tools for object removal, sky and reflection enhancement, blur reduction, and video editing.
- Productivity Assistant: Helps with text recognition, translation, voice-to-text transcription, and search using Google Gemini Nano 2 and Circle-to-Search.
Battery & Charging
The phone comes with a 5,410mAh battery supporting 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 18W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi claims that even after four years of use, the battery will retain 80% of its capacity.
Other connectivity features include dual SIM support, Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 7, NFC, and a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.
